Dear colleagues,

IPL/ISCAL in collaboration with the GCGI are to be congratulated for the great success in hosting the 7th CSR2021 conference.

We have come to the end of our meeting of the 7th CSR2021 conference. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the 7th International Conference on CSR, Sustainability, Ethics & Governance. We are also very thankful to the Organizing Committee and to the IT team, who had worked so diligently to make this conference a great success that it turned out to be. A special thank you goes to the Scientific Committee that ensured the quality of the 135 papers presented during the event. All of us were unsurprisingly very impressed with the level of participation of the delegates from thirty-eight countries that joined all aspects of the conference from around the world over the three days. We were graced by the presence of internationally renowned keynote speakers who enriched the conference with their lessons and inspired the attendees for future research.

The subjects discussed in this scientific event crossed all areas of CSR such as Responsible Finance, Corporate Governance, and CSR in each one of the areas like Sustainable Development Goals, Sustainable business models, evaluation reporting, education, performance, positive impact, human resources management, and emerging areas like CSR in the health, Digital Revolution, and CSR in the time of crisis which takes in account our modern time.

The great job of the moderators enriched the panel sessions with their active participation and the professional way they managed the questions and issues raised.

I would like to thank all the participants, and more than a hundred and twenty respective institutions, for having entered this great conference.

The Scientific Committee had selected the best papers by subjects that were presented at the conference. You will certainly agree with me that all the papers were excellent and particularly topical. In the closing session, the President of the Global Corporate Governance Institute, Professor Nicholas Capaldi, announced the five Best Papers Awards, and the GCGI has offered these five winners free participation at the 8th CSR2022.

We hope the networking among us has increased as a result and I hope it will serve each of us well in our respective areas of responsibility. All the abstracts that were presented will be available on the Proceedings Book that is being prepared and will share them with all of you.

Dear colleagues, it has been an honour and pleasure for me to chair the 7th CSR2021 for two years. Now that I have almost completed my term, I would like to emphasize the great opportunity I have had to organize the conference in ISCAL/IPL which hosted the conference in collaboration with GCGI.

This teamwork has enabled us to further strengthen the sense of community among all the researchers around the world and showed us how connected CSR is in different areas of acknowledgement, and beyond them. Before closing, I would like to say again that we look forward to welcoming you to the next GCGI event – the 8th CSR2022 – entitled “Global Corporate Governance, Equity, and Sustainability” which will take place at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA.  To use a southern U.S. expression, “See y’all there!”

Thank you!
