This is the fifth international gathering of its kind after successful events held in London, Nanjing, Cologne and Perth in previous years and will take place in Santander, Spain, 27-29 June 2018. The conference is organized by Santander Financial Institute and the University of Cantabria in collaboration with the Global Corporate Governance Institute.
The event is one of the largest international conferences focusing on responsible business with delegates from over 40 nations expected to present their latest research and its practical implications for business, society, academia and politics.
It will be an excellent platform to deliberate upon global themes of Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability, ethics and governance in all their various dimensions.

Nicholas Capaldi is Legendre-Soule Distinguished Chair in Business Ethics at Loyola University, New Orleans. He also serves as Director of the National Center for Business Ethics at Loyola. He was formerly the McFarlin Endowed Professor of Philosophy & Research Professor of Law at the University of Tulsa, founder and former Director of Legal Studies. His principal research and teaching interest is in public policy and its intersection with political science, philosophy, law religion, and economics. During the Spring Quarter of 2006 he served as the Frank W. Considine Chair in applied Ethics at Loyola University Chicago.
He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He is the author of 8 books, (Among them, The Enlightenment Project in the Analytic Conversation) over 100 articles, and editor of six anthologies. He is a member of the editorial board of six journals and has served most recently as editor of Public Affairs Quarterly. He is an internationally recognized leader in the fields of Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility, and a public policy specialist on such issues as higher education, bio-ethics, business ethics, affirmative action, and immigration. He has taught at Columbia University, City University of New York, National University of Singapore, and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Professor Capaldi has published a highly acclaimed intellectual biography of John Stuart Mill for Cambridge University Press. In addition he is creator and editor of a new series entitled “Conflicts and Trends in Business Ethics.”
Ted Roosevelt Malloch was a Professor and Senior Fellow in Management Practice at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and at Henley Business School, in the UK. He previously served as Research Professor at Yale University. He is an international expert on governance, strategy and business.
His most recent books concern the nature of virtuous enterprise, the practices of practical wisdom, the pursuit of happiness, the virtues of generosity and thrift. His new book, co-authored with the retired Chairman and CEO of Cargill, is entitled: Common Sense Business. His memoir is entitled: DAVOS, ASPEN & YALE: My Life Behind the Elite Curtain as a Global Sherpa.
Dr. Malloch is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Roosevelt Global Governance Group, a leading strategic management and thought leadership company. He has served on the executive board of the World Economic Forum (DAVOS); has held an ambassadorial level position at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland; worked in senior policy positions at the US State Department and US Senate; did capital markets at Salomon Brothers on Wall Street. He has experience on a wide number of corporate, mutual fund, and not-for-profit boards, including universities, charitable trusts, and foundations. He has traveled to 147 countries and worked at the CEO and Head of State/Government level with a wide range of country and corporate clients.
Ted earned his PhD in international political economy from the University of Toronto and took his B.A. from Gordon College, and an M.Litt. from the University of Aberdeen, on a St. Andrews Fellowship.

PHD in Economics and business management. Senior lecturer at the Applied Economics Department, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, UNED. Member of the Spanish Corporate Social Responsibilty Board (Ministry of Employment and Social Security). Main coordinator of the Master Degree in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (UNED). She has been Vice-chancellor of economic affairs at UNED and Head of Telefonica Chair in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability and an independent member of Banca Cívica Board.
Her main research interest lines are in the area of banking and finance, corporate social responsibility, social responsible investments and microfinance. She teachs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in these subjects.
She is a law professor at Southern University Law Center, where she teaches commercial law: common law, civil law, and international law. She practiced international trade law, admiralty, and corporate compliance law. Her research interest is in the rule of law and its interaction with economic development, and her articles on that topic have been published in the U.S., Vienna, and Russia. She has been a Fulbright Scholar in Chile, a Visiting Research Fellow at Cambridge's Lauterpacht Center for International Law, and have addressed the Russian Constitutional Court on this topic. Currently she is finishing her book on this topic. She speaks French, Spanish, and some Russian.
Bachelor of Law, has developed, almost completely, his professional career in SECURITAS Group companies, starting in the area of Personnel Administration, later assuming the area of Labor Relations and the Legal Department of this area. Since 2011 he has been the Human Resources Director of the Group in Spain.
From his responsibility he also directs, in an active way, Institutional Relations related to that area (Business Associations, Trade Unions), participating directly in the collective negotiations that affect the Group and the sector in Spain. He also represents the country in the HR forums of the Group in Europe and Latin America.
